Starfish's support over the last five years has helped the elderly, schools, children, families, communities and helped sustain Thailand's environment, our volunteer opportunities are very varied and volunteers have the opportunity to join more than one placement.

Starfish Ventures offers volunteer travel programs throughout Thailand including Surin, Maehongson, Rayong, and Phuket. By joining one of our volunteer work programs, you will not only benefit from the rewards of volunteering but gain an insight into the challenges faced daily by Thailand and its people.

Volunteering is a unique opportunity, there is so much more to a Starfish Venture volunteer programk. You will discover the rewards of helping others and experience how different and enjoyable life can be in another culture. The more effort you put into your volunteer work the more you will get out.

In Thailand's rural areas the people are friendlier and your efforts will be truly appreciated. All our members of our staff are local to the area and can recommend weekend travel outings in and around the area.

We can also advise and help you plan your onward travel trips if you are exploring Thailand after completing your volunteer work programs.

Whatever your skills or interests we are sure we have a placement for you; from helping conserve Thailand's turtle population to teaching English in a rural school. All our placements fall into four categories:

Protect: this is where you will find our conservation and animal welfare placements.
Develop: building, renovation, and community based projects.
Care: child care and medical placements.
Teach: simply teaching some of the world's loveliest kids.

Starfish works hard to ensure whatever placement you choose you will make a real difference for the better.
