La Unión Spanish School is a full-service Spanish learning center. We offer a variety of lodging options, cultural activities , travel agency , laundromat, transportation services, Latin dance lessons, and more. Our prices are quite reasonable and are on the low end of the spectrum for reputable Spanish schools in Antigua and in Guatemala. Despite our modest prices, we pay our carefully selected Spanish teachers about 20% more than the Spanish school industry average, ensuring academic quality and teacher motivation. What our Spanish students get is personalized attention from start to finish.

La Unión Spanish School offers a complete Spanish immersion experience here in Antigua Guatemala combined with our academic specialty, “One student, One teacher” Spanish learning system so that you can tailor your Spanish program to suit your individual Spanish school needs. Flexibility is our strength - we can accommodate the beginning student who has no experience speaking Spanish as well as the more advanced speaker who seeks mastery of the Spanish language. In addition, we have Spanish teachers that are trained to teach specialized Spanish in fields such as medicine, social work, law, and accounting.

Apply your newly acquired Spanish skills to real-life situations while experiencing authentic Guatemalan daily life in a host family from Antigua Guatemala. Or if you prefer, stay in one of La Unión Spanish School’s two fully-furnished Student Houses where you will still practice Spanish with a “house” mother. Relax and experience Antigua Guatemala at the same time through our school’s afternoon activities (all in Spanish of course). These include salsa and merengue lessons, Spanish-language movies, lessons in traditional Guatemalan cuisine, sports competitions (learn how to cheer your team on in Spanish!), typical weaving demonstrations, bike tours and villages to social project sites and indigenous villages. We also offer a variety of weekend trips to all of the major tourist destinations across Guatemala - you can climb active and inactive volcanoes, sunbathe at the beach, explore the majestic Tikal ruins and more with La Union Spanish School, all while practicing your Spanish!
