Volunteering is a great way to help schools give these kids a much wanted basic education.

You don't have to be trained to go and teach either. The primary school level that our schools operate at is pupils from nursery to 14years old. The ages do vary in each class as many pupils who have long term sickness have to repeat whole years. (This is very common.)

Anyone who has good communication skills, speaks clear English, is enthusiastic and good at interacting with children can be an asset to a Kenyan school. The rewards are enormous. From teaching basic words and numbers to sitting under the sun watching them play a ball game you may have taught. Teaching placements are simply incredible.
