Volunteers will live with host families in rural and urban communities throughout the country for a period of 6-12 months, and will be responsible for teaching English 20 hours/week. During their free time volunteers are encouraged to explore the country and participate in cultural activities.
As one of our volunteers, you will contribute to the sustainability of the continuously thriving eco tourism sector as well as rural communities throughout the country in Costa Rica. You will be able to make a positive impact on communities and the lives of students, teachers, and tourism professionals
Our program provides a variety of projects to suit your needs; although program lengths are usually for 6 months in order to maximize your impact in the community.
You will either serve as a Teaching Assistant in technical High Schools/vocational schools or as a Community Leader teaching English to adult community members.
As one of our volunteers, you will also have the exciting professional opportunity of adapting your own curriculum for the time you are here. However, you will always have the continuous support from our team and the previous volunteers' curriculum to guide you in this process.
Upcoming start dates
June and July 2011 program dates from 3-12 months long.
Prices vary so please contact program coordinator for detailed program costs.
