General Info

BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation, working in around 35 countries on four continents. We offer a Christian gap year programme, short term summer mission trips, individual volunteering opportunities and long term mission service.

BMS personnel are mainly involved in church planting, development, disaster relief, education, health, and media and advocacy.

We have a wide range of opportunities for individuals, couples and families to get involved, from two weeks to a lifetime. These include:

Action Teams - A Christian gap year programme for 18-23 year olds. one month training, six months overseas and two months touring the UK. A kingdom building, faith stretching year!

Summer teams - Short-term summer mission trips. Get a taste of overseas mission and get involved in what God is doing around the world. We run other short-term team programmes including church teams, ministers teams, lawyers teams and medical teams.

Tailor made placements - Individuals, couples and families who want to serve from three months to two years, using their skills and profession to make a difference around the world.

Long term service - With both a global perspective and local knowledge, combined with unparalleled experience, BMS engages in the responsible, effective, holistic and unashamedly Christian mission. Through constant support, excellent resourcing and extensive training ,long term BMS workers are changing lives daily.



Duration / Dates

Action Teams- Christian gap year programme. From September - June each year.

Summer Teams - short term mission trips - 2-3 weeks during school summer holidays.

Individual volunteers - tailor made placements for individual volunteers - go from three months to two years. Duration and dates to suit.

Student electives and ministers sabbaticals - dates and duration to suit.

Long term mission service - duration and dates to suit
